Statement of Faith - Faith Community Bible Church
1. We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, as originally given by God are divinely inspired, without error, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith, teaching and conduct.
2. We believe in the one true God, Creator of heaven and earth, sovereign over all, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - supremely worthy of our worship, praise and whole-hearted service.
3. We believe in God the Son, God manifest in the flesh, our Lord Jesus Christ, the world's only Savior. We believe in his pre-incarnate existence, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his vicarious death, his burial and bodily resurrection. We believe He ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father and He is our high priest and advocate.
4. We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates all believers, indwells them and enables them to live holy lives.
5. We believe in the sinfulness of all mankind, separated from God, subject to his eternal wrath and condemnation.
6. We believe in the eternal salvation of everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and accepts Him as Lord - a salvation provided freely by God's grace, through the shed blood, the sacrificial death, and the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead: believers to the full enjoyment of eternal life; unbelievers to the full condemnation of eternal separation from God.
8. We believe in the universal church, the body of Jesus Christ, composed of all who have put their faith in Him as Lord and Savior. We also believe in the local church, a body of believers who glorify God by proclaiming God's truth, practicing the ordinances, and promoting Christian growth and maturity.
9. We believe that the New Testament clearly prescribes baptism for believing disciples as a symbol and proclamation of the believer's death to sin and resurrection to new of life. Further we believe and practice immersion as the mode of baptism in accordance with its word meanings, examples, and symbolism.
10. We believe that our Lord and Saviour clearly prescribed for His believing disciples the solemn rite of the Lord's Supper as a memorial of the Lord's death to be kept by His disciples until He comes again, according to His promises and the Father's revealed plan.
